This is a highly custom luminary, constructed for a project for the Sculptress Deedee Morrison, for Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. This is also the 2nd large scale project constructed by RSI Design for Deedee Morrison!

We started with using our waterjet to cut large plates of ¼” 304 alloy stainless-steel with the diamond pattern and the cut thru Paw-Paw leaf designs. Then, the plates were rolled to their conical shape and fully welded at the joint. The upper section was also constructed and welded to the lower cone shape in this same manner. Finally, the 1” thick base mounting plate which also serves as the receptacle for the LED up lighting fixture was welded into place and support the entire structure.
